Artemis Medical Society GuideStar Exchange Bronze Participant

FORT WORTH, TX — Artemis Medical Society today received the GuideStar Exchange Bronze participation level, a leading symbol of transparency and accountability provided by GuideStar USA, Inc. GuideStar USA is the premier source of nonprofit information. This level demonstrates Artemis Medical Society’s deep commitment to nonprofit transparency and accountability.

“Artemis Medical Society is very proud of our historic work to advocate for greater physician diversity since our founding three years ago. We have been diligent in sharing the progress we’ve made toward our mission and in being accountable about our transparency to everyone,” said Dr. Myiesha Taylor, President, Artemis Medical Society.  “As a GuideStar Exchange participant, we can leverage their platform to give access to a wealth of up-to-date information about our work and programs to our supporters, as well as GuideStar’s immense online audience of nonprofits, grantmakers, individual donors, and the media.”

The GuideStar Exchange is an initiative designed to connect nonprofits with current and potential supporters. With millions of people coming to GuideStar to learn more about nonprofit organizations, the GuideStar Exchange allows nonprofits to share a wealth of up-to-date information with GuideStar’s many audiences. Becoming a GuideStar Exchange participant is free of charge. To join, organizations need to update their report pages, completing all required fields for participation. The GuideStar Exchange level logos, acknowledged as symbols of transparency in the nonprofit sector, are displayed on all Exchange participants’ nonprofit reports.



Artemis Medical Society helps promote an environment in medicine where women of color from around the world can come together to support and learn from each other across all medical specialties.  Since their formation they have worked diligently to create a supportive environment by fostering a strong sense of community among their membership.  Artemis Medical Society believes women physicians of color are a vital part of an effective physician workforce that is responsive to, and aims to deliver quality healthcare to our increasingly diverse communities. Through mentoring, networking and advocacy, the organization is providing the foundation necessary to create a diverse physician workforce vital to our rapidly changing society.
