Who Have Made History

Starting February 1, 2014 Artemis Medical Society celebrates Black History Month by honoring 28 African American women physicians who have made history and helped change the face of medicine in the United States.

Join us each day  as we celebrate those that have opened the doors to medicine for African American women and helped us reach our dreams.  Although African American women are less than 2% of America’s physicians, they have made historic and groundbreaking contributions to healthcare around the world.

We hope you will join us in honoring these amazing women and share their history with our children so we can encourage them to become the next generation of physicians our nation will need to keep all Americans healthy.
