President Dr. Myiesha Taylor is a board certified emergency medicine physician specialist and a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Myiesha was born and raised in the Southern California areas of Long Beach and Los Angeles. She graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with summa cum laude (highest) honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, and subsequently attended the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine obtaining her medical degree (MD).

Vice President – Communications Holistic wellness speaker Donna L. Hamilton, MD retired her white coat and stethoscope and now teaches women what it really means to be healthy and how to do it in a way that addresses their unique needs. A former board certified pediatrician, Dr. Hamilton now uses her health promotion expertise to teach wellness to adults. As a pediatrician she quickly learned the key to achieving optimal health in children: optimize the health of the adults in their lives.

Vice President – Membership Dr. Backhus is an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Chief of Thoracic Surgery at the VA Puget Sound. She trained in General Surgery at the University of Southern California and Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of California Los Angeles. Her practice consists of general thoracic surgery with special emphasis on thoracic oncology and minimally invasive surgery. She is a member of the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Vice President – Programming Deonza N. Thymes, MD is a native of Los Angeles, California. Dr. Thymes is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician. She is on staff at several hospitals throughout California, though she spends most of her time at Western Medical Center Emergency Department in Anaheim, California.

Treasurer Dr. Tonya Sweezer has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Seattle University, a Master of Science degree in Medical Science from University of North Texas Health Science Center, and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University – a leader in Natural Medicine education. She has been a primary care physician since 2005, and has practiced Naturopathic family medicine with Trinity Family Health Clinic and Cornerstone Family Health Clinic in the Seattle area.

Parliamentarian Dr. Angela U. Tucker is a board certified family medicine physician and member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Angela was born and raised in small towns in Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University with an honors Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry, and subsequently attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine obtaining her medical degree (MD).

Member-at-Large Bradford, MD is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Letitia was born and raised most of her life in California. She came from humble beginnings, even suffering homelessness during her young childhood, and entered the foster care system as a teenager, living in multiple homes throughout junior high and high school.

Member-at-Large Vikisha Fripp, M.D., F.A.C.S is a natural leader and has been recognized as such throughout her life. Her early education occurred in Decatur, Georgia where she was selected to be in the first class of Magnet Schools established in the county. After high school, Dr. Fripp completed a combined B.S. / M.D. program at Fisk University and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.
